Productive Lives
In 2021 I had the opportunity to partner with Productive Lives, a non-profit based in Philadelphia, PA. Starting with a clean slate I was able to work with the client from the ground up and create a web experience curated to their audience. This included color theory, site mapping, and user research. I have been able to continue working with this client to evolve the site as their needs change with their growing reach across the nation and overseas. Check out their site below.
Local
Before graduating from the Liberty University Honors Program in 2019, I was tasked with creating a prototype application in conjunction with a research paper dedicated to the psychology of user design. I decided to focus on the design and purpose of communication and created an early prototype of a social media concept that I further explored in the paper. Using Adobe XD I was able to create a mockup of the application and host for others to experience. You can see an early version below.
ecoFINISH
My time at ecoFINISH has been marked by learning to work for a business and wear many hats. In the beginning of 2023 I launched a redesigned site using Wordpress that I was the sole creator of. While it still needs continued work (mobile responsive and eliminate bugs) it has been a great learning experience to take a project from start to launch. While I did not have the creative control I desired, this site helped me learn to work for a client and deliver what was needed requested.

My name is Matthew SchultzIn 2019 I graduated with a B.S. in IT: Web & Mobile Programming and a Minor in Graphic Design from Liberty University. During my time in college, I discovered my passion is the intersection of design and functionality. In my senior year I completed a thesis showcasing a UX/UI project accompanied by a research paper done throughout its development. I continued pursuing this passion through various types of design such as branding, layouts, cover art, and UX/UI.Since graduating, I have been employed remotely as a web designer for a company in PA. I have also worked on various freelance projects including cover layouts, logos, and websites for clients. I have enjoyed continually pushing myself in new ventures of design and learning to incorporate all avenues of creativity within my work.If you are beginning a new creative project I would love to partner with you.
